Support COVID-19 Relief Efforts

Faithful America is an independent 501(c)4 non-profit. We also currently control a small 501(c)3 fund, which we are essentially unable to legally use for our own work. (Learn more about this context.)

As part of our fight for social and economic justice during the coronavirus pandemic, we're going to donate the fund's remaining $5,000 among frontline charities helping vulnerable communities face COVID-19 -- and it's up to you to help distribute the funds. We will give $250 to each organization, and then split the rest of the money based on the percentage of the vote.

The nominees are:

  • Black LGBTQIA+ Migrant Project: Sponsored by the Transgender Law Center, BLMP "build[s] and center[s] the power of Black LGBTQIA+ migrants to ensure the liberation of all Black people... BLMP is providing cash assistance to Black LGBTQ+ migrants and first generation people dealing with the impact of COVID-19."
  • Farmworker Relief Fund: From Hispanics in Philanthropy (HIP) and Justice for Migrant Women (J4MW), "The COVID-19 pandemic is expanding into rural America... Funds raised will go directly to farmworkers to help them purchase basic, yet essential, materials for their families, including groceries... as well as to assist them with payments for rent, utilities and medical care."
  • National Domestic Workers Alliance (NDWA): "The Coronavirus Care Fund (CCF) provides $400 in emergency assistance for qualifying home care workers, nannies, and house cleaners who are experiencing financial hardship due to the coronavirus pandemic."
  • Navajo Nation Relief Fund: According to CNN, "The Navajo Nation has surpassed New York and New Jersey for the highest per-capita coronavirus infection rate in the US -- another sign of Covid-19's disproportionate impact on minority communities." This is the only official COVID-19 fundraising and donation effort of the Navajo Nation.
