The U.S. Supreme Court is about to hear arguments on St. Isidore vs. Drummond -- an important case that could obliterate the line separating church and state in public school systems.

The Catholic Archdiocese of Oklahoma City wants to open a virtual charter school (which are legally considered public schools) and receive funding from taxpayers to support it. The state of Oklahoma approved the formation of the school, but the Oklahoma Supreme Court decided that it was a clear violation of the Constitution and put it on hold.

As social justice Christians, it is important that we take a public stand against any violation of religious freedom -- and we must resist any attempt to steal funding from public schools to advance religious education.
