The Supreme Court is poised to, once again, take up the case of marriage equality in our country due to a formal request from a county clerk's appeal in Kentucky.
Marriage equality was a hard-fought right for our LGBTQ community. Queer couples and allies united in 2015 to make marriage for all the law of the land because we believe that everyone -- no matter how they identify or who they love -- deserves equal family protections.
But now the Supreme Court -- a court that Trump curated to roll back rights across vulnerable populations -- could instantly remove those protections in at least nine states if it overturns Obergefell v. Hodges.
We will not sit by and watch while the religious right strips away the right for all people to marry. We try not to flood your email too much, but this issue will be one we engage consistently for as long as it takes. Therefore, we are creating a special list for this issue.
