Tell Barnes and Noble, BAM, and HudsonWhite Christian nationalism should not be sold in stores

Senator Josh Hawley and Christian author Eric Metaxas helped incite the attack on the U.S. Capitol by spreading lies about the election results. Yet instead of facing accountability, they're preparing for a big payday with new books.

Hawley, who often cites his evangelical faith, led the Senate charge to throw out the ballots of Black and Brown voters. Meanwhile, Metaxas emceed a major "Stop the Steal" rally and told his radio listeners, "We need to fight to the death, to the last drop of blood, because [overturning the election is] worth it." Metaxas has also wrongly insisted that Jesus was white.

Now both conspiracy theorists have book deals with the same Christian-owned publisher. More than 16,000 Faithful America members and counting have called for Regnery Publishing to drop the books. This upsets Trump and Hawley's allies, but the simple fact is it shouldn't be controversial for Christians to support democracy or oppose terrorism and white nationalism.

Now we're taking the fight to the major bookstore chains. If Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, and Hudson hear from enough Christian readers and consumers opposed to giving private platforms to violent white Christian nationalists, they may think twice about stocking these books.
