Multiple news outlets have just revealed the corrupt -- and potentially criminal -- ways that Jerry Falwell, Jr., runs Liberty University. Even Falwell's own students have begun to protest him on campus.
According to the reports, Falwell runs the Christian college through a culture of fear. He has offensively mocked his students as "retarded." Professors receive one-year contracts so they can be quickly dismissed if they speak out. Even the board chairman was removed after questioning Falwell’s support for Donald Trump.
The problem isn't just Falwell’s tyranny -- it's also his corruption. According to Politico, Falwell frequently uses school funds to benefit his friends and family. One official complained, "We're not a school; we're a real estate hedge fund."
Falwell has responded by mocking the reporters, calling for an FBI investigation into his critics, and even retweeting a headline that says he "won't turn the other cheek" as Jesus taught. Nothing about this Trump-like behavior can be called Christian.
It’s clear there is more than enough evidence to warrant an official investigation into Falwell's apparent corruption and misconduct. Let’s show Liberty’s student protesters that they are not alone, and demand better from a school that claims to represent our faith!
