Urge the U.S. Conference of Catholic BishopsStand up to Trump on immigration

Posted: Dec. 19, 2024

As we near the end of our Advent journey, we wait in hope for Emmanuel: God with us. Remembering the birth of Jesus encourages us to contemplate what it means to walk the way of Christ. And with just a few weeks left before Donald Trump takes office, our moral witness is needed now more than ever.

Donald Trump is already promising to wield the power of the White House to enact the "largest deportation operation in American history" on day one of his administration. He even plans to rescind a long standing policy that prevents ICE from entering and making arrests in "sensitive locations," including our houses of worship.

Jesus was clear in his instruction to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, visit the imprisoned, and welcome the stranger. And as some of the most high-profile Christian leaders in the country, the members of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) have an opportunity to make a real difference by standing up for our immigrant neighbors.

Let's speak out together as grassroots Catholics and ecumenical allies and ask Catholic leadership to boldly and publicly stand up to Donald Trump and say "NO" to these inhumane practices.

Add your name: Tell the US Conference of Catholic Bishops to stand up to Trump on immigration!
