Tell Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic SchoolStop firing pro-LGBTQ teachers

Posted: Aug. 23, 2019

A Catholic school in Wisconsin just cancelled Sam's teaching contract -- simply because the teacher once made a pro-LGBTQ Facebook post.

Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic School in Monona, WI, says its teachers must follow "church moral teachings." However, "Sam" made the post before they were hired, agreed to delete it immediately, and did not violate their contract after it was signed.

Ironically, Immaculate Heart's homepage says the school is "prepping our students to spread love." By showing students that it rejects teachers who support love, it is clearly failing in that mission.

As Sam told Madison's Channel 3000 news, "The Pope has defended the LGBT community... You can still hold certain values and be part of the Catholic faith."

Let's show Immaculate Heart that Catholics and other Christians across the country support the Gospel's message of love, and that we oppose this cruel anti-LGBTQ crackdown!
