Ali Alexander is a chief organizer of the anti-democracy "Stop the Steal" rallies and a self-described "official originator" of the January 6 failed coup.
Now in hiding and banned by Venmo, PayPal, and Twitter, Alexander is raising money via the crowdfunding website GiveSendGo -- which claims to be a Christian company.
GiveSendGo is also hosting a fundraiser for Henry Enrique Tarrio, leader of the notorious white-supremacist organization the Proud Boys, which has raised more than $100,000. In 2020, the site helped raise more than $500,000 in 2020 for Kyle Rittenhouse, who murdered two Black Lives Matter protesters in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
If GiveSendGo is going to keep violating its own terms of service by allowing violent seditionist, fundraisers like these, Christians must demonstrate that this website does not represent our faith.
The website is only able to exist because it's hosted by servers from Amazon Web Services, an Amazon.com subsidiary. Let's raise our voices and show Amazon that Christians want the company to stop enabling the spread of disinformation and insurrection now.
Update, 2021-01-14: In addition to the white-nationalist campaigns noted above, Faithful America has discovered that GiveSendGo is helping fund travel to anti-democracy right-wing rallies, potentially similar to the attack on the Capitol. One "patriot" travel fundraiser on the allegedly "Christian" crowdfunding website even asks for help purchasing "armor."
The site also hosts numerous fundraisers for extra-legal "investigations" into non-existent "voter fraud," parroting the rhetoric that inspired the failed coup of January 6. These include campaigns supporting Trump attorney Sidney Powell and by Giuliani's star Michigan witness Melissa Carone.
