Well, this is not where we'd hoped we'd be -- facing another four years under an unleashed Donald Trump, propped up by unqualified cabinet picks like Matt Gaetz and Tulsi Gabbard.
But as the Bible teaches us, what lies ahead is often unknowable. All we can do is follow the path in front of us -- and trust that God is present every step of the way.
Right now, the path ahead is simple: We resist every white Christian nationalist-fueled bill, rule, and action that Trump and his White House propose. We refuse to let them legislate hate and fear in Jesus's name, by speaking out and showing up for our own faith. We show our love for immigrants, refugees, LGBTQ people, women, persecuted people of color, and those in poverty at every single turn.
