Each year, millions of Christians observe the Season of Creation from September 1 to October 4, an annual celebration of prayer and action to protect God's earth. During 2019's Season of Creation, nearly 600 Faithful America members pledged to either preach or ask their pastor/priest to preach on the climate crisis. The Season of Creation is helpful for reminding us of the importance of environmental justice to our faith, but the tasks of combating climate change and caring for God's creation demand our attention all year-round. Faithful America's campaigns director, the Rev. Nathan Empsall, is an Episcopal priest with a Master in Environmental Management, and frequently preaches about faith and the environment.
