We don't need a president who claims to protect religion; we need a president who will protect the least of these. So this fall, Faithful America is getting involved in an election for the very first time, putting our faith into action to reclaim Christianity and the Gospel from Donald Trump and the religious right, for love and social justice.
Research shows that personal conversations can be 25 times more effective than outreach from a stranger. That's why Faithful America is asking progressive Christians to talk to your personal contacts in key swing states like FL, MI, and PA about why your faith leads you to vote against the president.
These conversations can change the election, but we know they're not always easy to have. We're offering a series of Zoom trainings to help you meet fellow Faithful America members, learn how you can get involved, get tips on having effective personal conversations, and more.
Here's the calendar of remaining webinars -- RSVP for the Zoom call of your choice today:
To be clear, we're not asking you to talk to the Hannity-obsessed, MAGA-hat-wearing nephew who can't be persuaded. But who do you know from church who doesn't talk about politics very much? Which of your Facebook friends posts fun pictures and cares about their faith, yet doesn't necessarily vote every election?
Think beyond the close friends and family whose politics you already know. There are very likely other people in your life who would love to talk to you about your faith, who quite possibly have never been told about the link between Christianity and social justice. That's a conversation that can help beat Trump, and one we'd like to help you have.
