Here are the nominees for receiving a $5,000 gift from Faithful America this Christmas:
Catholic Legal Immigration Network Inc (CLINIC) "is the nation's largest network of nonprofit immigration legal services programs. Its mission is to provide immigration legal services to low-income and vulnerable populations. In service of that mission, CLINIC provides materials, training, and funding to its members, including in particular local organizations that provide naturalization services."
Church World Service (CWS) "is a faith-based organization transforming communities around the globe through just and sustainable responses to hunger, poverty, displacement and disaster... CWS has 25 refugee and immigration offices spread across 17 different states. These offices provide services to newly arrived refugees and immigrants, helping them to integrate into local communities, find jobs and learn the necessary skills to support their new life in the United States."
Creation Justice Ministries "represents the creation care and environmental justice policies of major Christian denominations… We draw on the rich heritage of Christian scriptures and traditions which call us not only to till and keep the Earth, but also to act for racial, economic, and environmental justice."
Reconciling Ministries Network (RMN) "will continue to do what it has done for 35 years: create, equip, and mobilize a movement of Methodists who will not wait for a General Conference to tell them how to be like Jesus, but will embrace and celebrate LGBTQ people today."
The Samuel DeWitt Proctor Conference (SDPC) "represents a cross section of progressive African American faith leaders and their congregations... The mission of SDPC is to nurture, sustain, and mobilize the African American faith community in collaboration with civic, corporate, and philanthropic leaders to address critical needs of human rights and social justice."
