Tell GoogleRemove "pray away the gay" app

Posted: Jan. 17, 2019

After facing protests, Microsoft, Amazon, and Apple have removed a religion-themed app that pushes gay conversion therapy from their app stores, but Google still hasn’t removed this “pray the gay away” app.

The Living Hope Ministries app paints the “gay lifestyle” as “spiritually and physically harmful.” They promote “conversion therapy,” which is illegal in 15 states and which the American Psychological Association warns can lead to depression, anxiety, self-hatred, and even suicide.

This app is peddling dangerous messages to LGBT youth under the guise of Christianity—and Google needs to hear from Christians that this is un-Christian and inexcusable.
