Tell Georgia councilmembersRacist discrimination isn't Christian. It's time to resign.

A city councilmember in Georgia is defending the city's racist employment discrimination by citing his "Christian beliefs," telling a reporter that "when you see blacks and whites together, it makes my blood boil because that’s just not the way a Christian is supposed to live."

Councilmember Jim Cleveland's comments came after it was revealed that the mayor of Hoschton, Theresa Kenerly, had tried to reject a black applicant for city administrator "because he is black, and the city isn’t ready for this."

This outrageous incident of open bigotry is attracting national headlines and prompting calls for both Mayor Kenerly and Councilmember Cleveland to resign. Let's join in showing how many Christians are appalled by this shameful invocation of our faith to justify racism.
