The Supreme Court just made history, establishing marriage equality as the law of the land.
The religious right is already erupting into hysterics, declaring that "Satan is dancing with delight." Mike Huckabee claims the decision is repealing "the laws of nature and nature's God." The president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops says it's "profoundly immoral" and that it will harm children.
This hateful rhetoric will only get worse in the days to come, as anti-gay extremists insist to the press and political leaders that they speak for all Christians -- Christians whose "religious freedom" is now threatened by equality.
So in this moment, Christians like us must speak up and show our friends, neighbors, and the world that we support the court's decision.
