Tell CongressChristians Demand Peace With Iran

"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God." -- Matthew 5:9

The president's assassination of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani has put the United States and Iran on the brink of war. War with Iran would come at an immense human and financial cost -- likely greater than the Iraq and Afghanistan wars combined.

Tragically, Franklin Graham and other leaders on the religious right are ignoring Christ's way of love and peace, and have instead offered their support for Trump's immoral march to war. The day after the drone strikes, Trump even launched his "Evangelicals for Trump" campaign group at a Florida rally, distorting the Gospel's message of love into an unrecognizable catalog of violence and hatred.

We cannot worship the Prince of Peace while also supporting an unnecessary war. It is vital that those who still follow the Way of Jesus speak out now by praying for peace, raising our voices, speaking out from our pulpits, and when possible, taking to the streets.
