According to prosperity-gospel preacher Paula White, "When I walk on White House grounds, God walks on White House grounds." White has also called Donald Trump's critics "demonic networks," praying that they "be torn down in the name of Jesus."
With narcissism and hatred like this, is it any wonder that Paula White has become Trump's personal pastor?
Now the president's love for the televangelist has gone too far: Paula White is joining the White House staff as director of the Faith and Opportunity Initiative. Like Trump himself, White plans to profit while in public service, continuing her heretical "ministry" of promising spiritual rewards to followers who send her money.
Giving White a top government job is the president's latest attempt to whip up evangelical support ahead of his reelection campaign and impeachment trial. Though White may say that Trump will overcome "every strategy from hell," we know that the real outrage is the religious right's hijacking of Christianity to serve a political agenda of hatred and greed.
