Tell Denver archbishopStop promoting LGBT conversion therapy

Posted: Jan. 28, 2019

The archbishop of Denver is encouraging Catholics in his archdiocese to launch programs in their parishes to “heal” LGBT people - partnering with a notorious “ex-gay” organization that practices conversion therapy.

At a special conference entitled “Gender Matters: Fight for a New Generation,” Archbishop Samuel J. Aquila invited a therapist who claims to have been “set free” from homosexuality” to train hundreds of local Catholics.

Desert Stream Ministries is one of the few remaining organizations that purports to change sexual orientation and gender identity - a therapy practice that mainstream medical organizations say can lead to suicide and that has been outlawed in 15 states and the District of Columbia.
