Tell Easter parade organizersApologize for excluding welcoming church

Posted: April 6, 2015

First United Methodist Church has been a part of the community of Eureka Springs, Arkansas for 136 years. But this year they were banned from the Easter parade because they wanted to carry a banner reading, "Jesus loves all."

Church members say that the conservative parade organizers rejected the church because it fully welcomes and includes lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people.

Easter should be a joyful celebration of Jesus' resurrection and all-encompassing love, not an occasion to exclude a church that is putting that love into action. As this story begins to make national headlines, let's show that Christians across America are standing with Eureka Springs First United Methodist Church.
